It was... revealing to find myself doing ✅ check, ✅ check, ✅ check, while reading this article. I've known I am experiencing burnout from quite some time now, but I think this is the first article that puts into words something that I've been feeling for a while in the way I've been feeling them. Thank you for writing this!
Thank you for leaving this message! That feeling of recognizing yourself in this can be both validating and heavy. Now that you can name what you're going through, what are you thinking about doing with this new lens?
Love this collaboration! Bringing in a transformation coach like Alicja is such a smart move for the start of the year. Mental health is the foundation everything else is built on. Looking forward to diving into this 'masterpiece
Thank you! You're absolutely right—mental health really is the foundation everything else builds on. I'd love to know if anything in the piece particularly resonated with your experience?
I think burnout often sneaks up on us because it is praised before it is questioned. We call it dedication. We call it ambition. We tell ourselves it is temporary. And then one day the tiredness feels deeper, like something inside us has gone quiet. I have been there. Not in a dramatic collapse, but in a slow dulling of energy and care that I did not notice until it was already familiar.
In my experience, burnout is less about working hard and more about working without boundaries for too long. It shows up when saying yes becomes automatic and rest starts to feel undeserved. What helped me was not doing less out of guilt, but doing things with more intention. Asking myself what was actually worth my energy, and what I was carrying just to prove something.
I have been thinking about this in my own writing lately, especially how sustainable growth depends on staying connected to yourself, not pushing past your limits every time. Burnout does not arrive overnight. Neither does recovery.
I share my recent post below and I hope it can inspire somebody.

That is something I haven't figured out yet. I'm trying to look for solutions within my environment, what I can and change. Then we'll see
Thank you for sharing, Augustín. We hope you will find a way to fight it and feel better soon!
